Star profile of De Dietrich.
From a forge in 1684 to propane heat pumps
De Dietrich has its roots in Alsace, where Jean de Dietrich took over the forge in Jaegerthal in 1684. The family went on to build an industrial empire of forges and blast furnaces, and the hunting horn the king granted them as a trademark in 1778 is still in the logo. The heating business, De Dietrich Thermique, later joined forces with Dutch Remeha and has been part of BDR Thermea Group since 2009.
Through us, De Dietrich offers five series of air-to-water heat pumps: the Alezio M R290 and Alezio M Compact R290 monoblocs with propane, the Alezio M R32, the Alezio S R32 split heat pump and the Strateo R32 heat pump centre with a built-in hot water cylinder. The series cover 4 to 16 kW for both renovations and new builds.
In 1792, Philippe-Frédéric de Dietrich, mayor of Strasbourg and a son of the family, commissioned the song that became the Marseillaise.
