APELDOORN

From bicycle frames to propane heat pumps

Remeha was founded in Apeldoorn in 1935, and the name is an abbreviation of the original company name van Reekum's Metaal Handel. Gerard van Reekum started out with bicycle frames and metal trading, and soon after came the forerunner of the company's first cast-iron boiler. Gas boilers followed, and today Remeha makes boilers, heat pumps, hot-water cylinders and controls for both homes and businesses.

With us, Remeha is represented by the Confida MB 400 air-to-water heat pumps with propane, the Mercuria Ace as monobloc and split, the Eria Tower Ace heat pump centre and the large E-HP AW for commercial use. Remeha is part of BDR Thermea Group, which was formed through several mergers, including with France's De Dietrich in 2004 and Britain's Baxi in 2009.
